Meet Zuke, a 4-month old neutered male puppy who loves life! He has a great big smile that hides his insecurities about being part of a “backyard breeder” home where he didn’t get any attention or socialization. But he’s very young, and very much willing to learn about the world.
Zuke needs a home where he can learn to be a pet inside of a home, since he hasn’t learned many manners as yet. He is crate-trained and very willing to settle in, but he’ll climb over baby gates to get to his foster family. Zuke is very curious, but not destructive, so he’ll need his family to pay close attention to him as he grows. He loves people, kids and other dogs, loves to romp and play with his brother who he’s being fostered with, and the other dogs of his foster home. He barks loudly at the cats, however, and will surely give chase if he has the opportunity.
For now Zuke sleeps in his crate, but he loves to cuddle on the laps of his foster family, or on the couch. He’s happy-go-lucky but will need a home where he gets a schedule and firm training on appropriate indoor behavior. He is completely housetrained in his crate, but is still learning about going to the back door to go outside. He’s only 16 weeks old, so like any puppy, this will come in time with consistent training.
Zuke is being fostered in Marion, OH. He’s up to date on vaccinations and he takes heart worm preventative.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
