Meet Wolfie! Two yrs, neutered, about 18 lbs., microchip, current on all vaccinations.
Poor Wolfie has been bounced around a lot in his short life, including two stays in a shelter. Wolfie was saved from euthanasia by a staff member at the shelter, a volunteer transporter that spent six hours in the car and his wonderful foster mom.
Wolfie is very much still a puppy - tons of energy and he will need gentle yet diligent housetraining routine and reminders. Also, he needs a safe and secure fenced yard - no exceptions.
Wolfie has never learned that people can be trusted and they won't leave him or dump him at a shelter. Due to this - he will need a special, loving, adults only home that will allow him to come to them on his own terms. It may take him a little extra time to warm up and trust. He responds well to quiet praise and with the right person will be an ideal velcro Griff !
Wolfie would be best as an only dog or with a quiet, docile dog for companionship. Adults only please - no small children, they scare him. He is good with his doggie foster brothers and sisters but will need individual attention to help him blossom into a well socialized dog.
Willie is being fostered in Mountainhome, PA.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Cristen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
