Willie is an amazing little man, about 18 months old, who came into foster care after sharing his life with 20 other dogs inside a home. He didnít know then that as soon as he got some individualized attention he would turn from a frightened yappy snappy boy into a snuggly, wiggly, smiley pet!
Since Willie is young, he has learned a lot from the other doggies in his foster home, especially about becoming housebroken. Heís still working hard on understanding this, but with a good routine and lots of praise, heíll soon have it mastered. Willie loves laps, kisses, snuggles, and wrestling with his foster brother and sister griffys.
Heís learned to walk well on his harness, and knows to run as fast as he can to his foster mom when he hears his name! He needs to gain some weight, since he weighs about 7 pounds, but heíll catch up very soon at the rate heís eating. Willie needs one-on-one time with his person so he can continue his progress of learning how to be a good house pet, but he gets along fine with children and other pets as long as he is approached slowly and not loudly or quickly. He is such a cuddle-bug, is a soft red with floppy ears, and it is hard to resist smooching him when heís cuddled up asleep.
Willie is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention and he is microchipped.
Willie is being fostered near Marion, Ohio.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
