The saying "good things come in small packages" is so true with our 10 pound guy Spike. He has the sweetest personality. He has lived all of his 6 years in a breeding facility until 2 wonderful volunteers brought him to Ohio to live a new happy life. Since Spike came from a kennel environment, he is working on his house manners. He is very good when crated, and doesn't mind wearing a belly band.
Spike also gets along great with the 4 other dogs in his foster home, male or female, he loves them all. He also loves to lay in his foster dad's lap, or foster mom when dad isn't around.
Now that the weather is getting better, Spike is learning to walk on a leash and is really enjoying getting out and seeing the neighborhood. His foster mom is so impressed how well Spike is adjusting to life in a home.
Spike is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on prevention.
Anyone who brings Spike in their home will have a devoted, loving companion.
Spike is being fostered near Columbus, OH.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Lyn at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
