Serge came to rescue with another griff – Roscoe – because their owner died. Serge is about 16.5 lbs. and he is a very happy boy. He is as sociable as can be. He LOVES sleeping in the big bed and spending time with his foster mom. Serge is OK if he is crated with another dog but doesn't like to be crated alone. He is a real velcro griff – just wants to be with you all the time and doesn't like being left behind.
Serge is learning to walk nicely on a leash and doing much better at it. He is also working on his housebreaking manners – does mark now and then – but mostly just if he is left alone.
Serge is a young 9 years old. He is working on losing a little extra weight. He is neutered and heart worm negative. He takes heart worm preventative and he is up to date on his vaccines.
Serge's foster mom says that he is going to make someone really happy. He is a charmer with lots of sweet funny mannerisms you will love. He is a perfect companion for a retired person looking for a little buddy to love. Could that be you?
Serge is being fostered in Columbia, MO.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
