  Meet Ruby & Oscar!
(#3309 & #3308)

These two pals were turned over to NBGR by their owner who has to travel too much for her job now. They are 10 and 11 and are very sweet dogs. Their foster mom has said that they have not had one accident in the home and get along fine with her other dogs and cats. They both prefer to sleep with their humans or at least in the same room. We would love to see them placed together, but feel that they would adjust to being separated.

Ruby at ten is a very well-adjusted lady and is in general good health. She would be very easy to live with. She may not be in your lap but always wants to be close to you. She's a lovely little girl who loves to carry around one of her stuffed toys.

Oscar, unfortunately has some health issues. He has a bad knee, bad hip and his back was broken at some point and healed incorrectly. Nothing has been done to correct these problems and it appears that he has been living with them for quite some time. He has adjusted to his disabilities and it has been decided that surgery is not an option at this time of his life. He should not be allowed to jump up and down. Oscar is an easy dog to live with.

These dogs are being fostered in Modesto, CA.

If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Diane Shelby at dianeshelby126@yahoo.com.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.

Ruby & Oscar have been Adopted!

Oscar had his back broken and it was left untreated so his new mom went and got him a little red wagon so he could go on walks too. Ruby is far left, the two poms are her daughter's dogs, Hannah (her other Griff rescue) is far right and in the back getting a ride is Oscar!
