Available early March.
Rosie is a sweet little girl whose family could no longer care for her due to the owner’s health. While going through routine examination, after she came to NBGR, it was discovered that she was light heartworm positive.
For the next eight weeks Rosie will endure heartworm treatment - which is painful and requires weeks of confinement. Once completed Rosie will be good as new and ready to start her new life with her furever family.
Rosie is very sweet and a little shy when she first meets you but quickly warms up. She gets along well with other dogs and was great with her foster cat sibling. Rosie loves to play, cuddle with her human and enjoys going for walks on her leash. She is crate trained and house trained.
Rosie is 2 years old, weighs 9 lbs, spayed and up-to-date on vaccines.
Due to her small size we prefer to place Rosie in a family with no small children.
PLEASE remember to always keep your pets on heartworm preventative during the appropriate times of the year for your region. Heartworms are preventable, no dog should have to endure this painful and expensive treatment.
Rosie is being loved and fostered in Houston, TX.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Connie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
