Ribbons was born April 17, 2012. She and her siblings were part of a puppy mill raid four days later, and they moved to a foster home three days after that.
Ribbons, her mom (a Brussels Griffon), and her brothers were raised in one foster home for nine weeks. They are all exceptional puppies; they have been blessed with their mother's wonderful disposition. They have been raised with other dogs, a cat, a bird, and all kinds of normal household noises.
Ribbons was always the pack leader, and she demonstrated her dominance when playing. She mastered the doggie door when she was only seven weeks old and could barely reach it. As you can see, Ribbons is a beautiful puppy, but she is also smart and headstrong. If you don't lead, she will. So she really needs someone who can give her structure, with a gentle, but firm, resolve. She responds very well to positive training.
Ribbons has tons of puppy energy so a home with another playmate is a must. She is also a loving cuddle bunny. She is a special little girl, and in the right home, she will provide years of love, entertainment, and companionship.
Ribbons’ mother and brothers have found their forever families. Now its her turn!
Ribbons weighs 6 lb., is up to date on vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm negative, and on preventative. She will need to be spayed when she reaches six months.
Ribbons is located in the Austin, TX area.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Connie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
