Little Miss Pixie is one of the many rescued griffons from the auction in Ohio at the end of June. Pixie spent the first year of her life probably in a barn, in a kennel, waiting to be old enough to breed.
Now that Pixie has a new life, she is a remarkable little girl. At 15 months old and about 7-8 pounds, she is learning to be a family pet and loves every minute of it! She has learned to sleep in a bed with her human, how to eat and drink out of a proper dog bowl, how grass and carpet and tile feel under her feet…
Pixie’s funny, cute, loves to play with chew toys, especially ones that squeak, and loves loves loves her foster family of kids, adults, other dogs and cats!!
Pixie is learning what it means to be housetrained, but will need to continue with work on this. Pixie is at her best when she’s running like the wind in her foster home’s backyard, chasing her foster sisters around and winning the tug-of-war game. She also loves to snuggle. She’s just an all-around sweetie, needing a forever family. She’ll be a great addition to any home!
Pixie is spayed, micro-chipped, up to date on her vaccines and heartworm prevention. She is being fostered in Marion, Ohio.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
