Monkey is a young 11 yr old spayed female, 22lbs (needs to lose some weight but we’re working on that). Her owner went into assisted living and dogs aren’t allowed. Monkey was a bit shy and timid at first in her foster home but warmed up quickly. Once she gets to know you – she loves attention and ear rubs. She will need patience and understanding at first and with meeting new people. She is leash trained, crate trained, house broken and loves to snuggle and sleep in bed with her person.
Monkey has lived with a cat but needs to be the only dog in the home. While she gets along with other small dogs – she has been grumpy with the other female dogs in her foster home – so will be happiest as only dog. This is a wonderful dog looking for a family that has time to spend showering her with attention and love.
Monkey is being fostered in Millis, MA.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Cristen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
