  Meet Miya & Mishi!
(#3490 & #3491)

NBGR is excited to introduce our gorgeous little Miss Miya and her adorable side kick Mishi in Lincoln, Nebraska! Our happy little ladies are two of the most well behaved lovable little snuggle bunnies we have yet had the pleasure to welcome into our rescue program, and will no doubt soon make one lucky family very happy!

Miya & Mishi are looking for an adult only home where someone can be home with them most of the time so they may continue to be the focus of their new family's attention almost 24/7, just as they were accustomed to in their previous home.

Both girls get along well with other dogs and have lots of spunk. Watch their cute video playing chase with one of their foster siblings. Miya is wearing the purple jacket and Mishi is the red rough with a natural tail.

If you love taking leisurely slow paced nature walks, these girls walk perfectly on lead. How about just hanging out on the couch watching a movie or reading a good book in bed? These girls will oblige by snuggling right up next to you and will not leave your side! If you love a long hot soak in the tub, Miya just might decide to join you - she seems obsessed with bath tubs - LOL!

If you feel like getting down on the floor and wrestling with a buddy, then Mishi is the girl for you - play is the name of the game for this little girl! What if you're having one of those days when you simply need a warm cuddly little body to snuggle up close, gaze lovingly in your eyes, and make all the troubles of the world whither away? Then Miya is the soul mate you've been searching for!

If you love traveling Miya & Mishi are the perfect little road warriors. In their previous home they frequently traveled from the spring-summer home in Kansas to their winter home in Texas. They settle right down in their crate in the back seat, and simply enjoy the ride!

What more can you ask for with 2 sweet little Griffs with 2 distinct personalities and activity levels to fit your every mood?

Miya & Mishi are spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative, on monthly heart worm preventative, and micro chipped. Miya had a recent senior blood panel (all normal) along with a dental.

Miya was born July of 2006 and weighs 14-15 lbs. She probably needs to lose at least 2-4 lbs, so is currently on a diet. She is a bit hard of hearing and has arthritis in her right rear leg, for which she takes Rimadyl daily along with Glucosomine. We will be ordering a brace for her arthritic leg to give her more support and hopefully reduce discomfort when she is running about. All in all she is just about perfect, and a very happy healthy girl.

Mishi was born July 2014. She weighs 8-10 lbs. and is a little spit fire of energy. She has natural ears, an undocked tail, and is adorable!

Miya and Mishi are being fostered in Lincoln, NE.

We always give preference to adoption applications from families who live within reasonable driving distance of where the dog is being fostered because if for any reason the placement does not work out, it is less stressful for the Griff to be returned to the foster family that dog has previously bonded with. However, if an applicant from outside the area is approved to adopt, they must drive to where the dog is being fostered. We never ship our rescued Griffs, or allow them to fly via cargo.

We never place dogs in homes reliant on electric or invisible fencing to contain pets. Fencing of this type may or may not keep a dog in the yard, nor does this type of fencing protect pets from predators, free roaming dogs, or people who may enter the yard. Should there be a power outage, the fence would be rendered useless. If a pet were to panic and run through the barrier and take an electrical jolt from the fence, that pet would not be inclined to return home, and could be lost forever.

Update!

Miya & Mishi have been Adopted!

NBGR is all about making happily ever after wishes come true, and we couldn't be more excited to announce Miya & Mishi's wish has finally come true with an amazing adoptive family who will no doubt fill their lives with immeasurable joy and love for the rest of their days!

Miya & Mishi turned out to be two very popular little ladies who generated a flurry of activity with high numbers of inquiries and applications from some very promising families. We are so very thankful for all who offered to provide these 2 sweet girls with a loving new forever home, and apologize if we inadvertently broke a few hopeful hearts.

The final placement decision was not an easy one, however after much consideration we were finally able to match our two cuties with a family environment very similar to what they were accustomed to in their previous home, and one their former mom was hoping we could find for them. A very special thank you goes out to NBGR volunteer Chris Moore for transporting the girls, and NBGR foster mom Allison Snell and her husband Grant for welcoming Miya & Mishi into their home and loving them as their own until the perfect new forever home could be found for them.
