  Meet Maggie!
(#2910)

Maggie’s previous family didn’t have time to devote to her, so she acted out by barking. Since she has been in her foster home, where she receives attention, Maggie has only barked a couple of times and has stopped when asked.

She is one year old and weighs 10 lb.; she has a beautiful coat but is sporting a summer cut right now. She sleeps quietly in her bed at night next to her foster mom’s bed, but our bet is that she would really enjoy sharing the big bed with you. Maggie is doing better with housetraining but will need her new family to watch her closely and keep her on a schedule so she doesn’t have accidents.

She’s great on a leash, loves to go for walks, and likes playing with toys and her foster brothers. Maggie is a sweet girl who is submissive and timid but comes out of her shell once she gets to know you. It would be a good idea to enroll her in obedience classes to help build her confidence. Obedience classes are also a wonderful way to build a stronger bond – you are working as a team.

Being a Griff, closeness with her human is a must. Maggie needs a calm home where she gets the attention Griffs require. Her ideal family would have someone who stays home or who works from home. Maggie is also good with cats, so another dog or cat to pal around with would be a bonus!

Maggie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm negative / on preventative, and looking for a forever family.

Maggie is located in Dallas, TX.

If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Connie at conniel@andell.com.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
