Meet Madge and Matta!
(#2721 and #2720)
How far this tiny duo has come since they left the hoarder in mid-2011. They didn't know how to eat dog food. Human touch was impossible for them to accept. They did not know how to exist outside of their tiny wire cage.
Madge and Matta were adopted by a lovely lady who gave them love and attention for over a year. Unfortunately due to her failing health they came back to NBGR. They still need each other for security (especially Matta). But they now scurry around excited to see people. Matta does let you know when you touch his precious Madge with a little bark. It makes us smile to see his personality bloom.
Madge is comfortable being held and carried about. Matta is still a little nervous in our arms, but is better every day.
We are looking for someone to care for this special little pair. A cozy dog bed big enough for two is the most important requirement.
We think that Madge is about 6-7 years old and Matta is about 4. They are very small – about 6 lbs. each. See their original NBGR listing for more pictures.
Both are neutered, up to date on vaccines and heart worm negative. They take heart worm preventative and they are microchipped.
Madge and Matta are being fostered in Marion, OH.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
