  Meet Macciatto!
(#3307)
Adoption Pending

Hello there my name is Macchiato, my friends call me Macci Ė you can too.

My story began when my previous family was moving and no longer had time for me. A few phone calls were made then I was taken to a wonderful foster home. I love it, there are other dogs for me to hang with and loving humans to care for me until NBGR can find my new family.

Iím happy to tell you Iím housetrained, leash trained and crate trained. I get along great with other dogs, the cats in my previous home and I adore humans. One of my favorite things is to cuddle, so know if you feel the need to lounge on the sofa or snuggle in the big bed you will never be alone for Iíll be right there with you.

Iím nine years old and I weigh 14 lbs. Iím a very happy guy and according to my foster family Iím very loving, lovable AND smart.

So, here I am needing a new familyÖa very special family who is willing to help me with a couple of things. I have diabetes which requires, checking my insulin levels and injections twice a day. I know my routine and am stoic. My insulin levels are stable but I will need periodic bloodwork to make sure they remain that way.

Iím not blind, but my eyesight is cloudy from cataracts - donít feel sorry for me, it doesnít slow me down. I recognize people, animals and I can maneuver around the furniture inside the house and in the yard. I do have a problem with objects that you can see through Ė like a chain link fences, wire crates etc. but I learn my way around.

It will take me a little adjusting to familiarize myself with new surroundings but with a little time I will do fine. I need a family who is willing to keep up with my routine and guide me through this new adventure Ė I might take a little more of your time but Iíll reward you with lots and lots of love and promise you will never watch television alone.

Macci is ready and waiting to meet his forever family. If you are willing to give this darling boy the forever family he deserves and see that his medical needs are met, please complete an adoption application so you donít waste a minute of joy.

Macci is being lovingly fostered in Brighton, CO.

If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Connie Lawrence at conniel@andell.com.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
