Meet Louie!

Louie is a lovable, four-year-old, ten-pound, red rough male. A fellow Griffy lover spotted him in a neglectful environment and brought him to NBGR. Sadly, the years of neglect caused Louie to lose most of the hair around his face and on his paws, but he didn't let it make him lose his happy-go-lucky disposition.

After receiving lots of love and a healthy diet from his foster mom and after completing the treatment for his skin condition, Louie is beginning to grow his hair back. This little guy missed out on a lot in his first years of life and is just now learning how much fun it is to play with toys and other dogs. His foster mom affectionately calls him the play monster. He loves to go on walks, is a gentleman on a leash, and stays quietly in an exercise pen that he has never soiled or tried to escape from. Louie has also found another joy, simply sitting on his foster mom's lap and watching TV. What a life! The only thing that Louie hasn't experienced is a fenced back yard where he can run and potty without being on a leash.

Can you open your heart and home to this funny face little boy? His hair will grow back, but until then you will just have to enjoy the perpetual smile on his face.

Louie is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm negative and on preventative. Now all he needs is a loving home and YOU. Louie is located in Houston, TX.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
