Leo came to rescue because his owner could no longer care for him. He is having fun at a foster home awaiting his forever owners. Leo had a problem at his owner's home with not being housetrained, but he is learning not to go inside and to follow the other dogs outside to relieve himself.
Leo is 3 years old and plays well with dogs his own age. He has good manners except for jumping up on visitors and when we arrive home. He just gets so excited! He is trained to sit for treats and he will be easy to train for other tricks. He loves to stand on his back legs and dance when dinner is being served.
Leo's foster mom feels he would be good for a family – with kids over 5 – and maybe another small dog. He will need good exercise as he is a young fellow – only 3 years old.
Leo weighs 12 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heart worm negative. He takes heart worm preventative. He just needs a home where he is loved and someone to play with him. He loves his walks and sleeps in a crate at night. Everyone who meets him thinks he is a lovely dog and falls in love at first sight.
Leo is being fostered in Lake Worth, FL.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
