  Meet Leela!
(#2993)

This pretty girl is Leela; she’s approximately 4 years old and weighs 12 lb. Leela was surrendered by a breeder, and she had spent most of her life not knowing the touch of a loving human. That all changed when she was moved to her foster home.

Leela is sweet, shy, and needs a home where her family will work with her on house training and walking on a leash. Leela needs time to learn to trust. We feel that in the right home, with one-on-one attention and patience, this pretty girl will blossom.

As you can see, Leela is missing one eye. We are not sure what happened to her, but she doesn’t let it slow her down. She also has a heart murmur for which she takes daily meds that are relatively inexpensive. Just like her missing eye, Leela’s heart murmur does not slow her down.

We are looking for a family for Leela that has at least one other fur baby so Leela has a playmate and a companion to snuggle with when you are away. We prefer an adult only home or a home with older, mature children. Leela has a lot of love to give, and the time spent helping this little girl reach her full potential will be worth every second.

If you have a place in your heart and home for this special girl, please complete the adoption application. The sooner we get Leela with her new family, the sooner this special girl can start catching up on all she missed in her earlier years.

Leela is completely vetted and ready to meet her new family.

Leela is being fostered in the Oklahoma City, OK area.

If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Connie Lawrence at conniel@andell.com.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
