  Meet Kip & Maddie!
(#3365 & #3366)

NBGR is proud to introduce the inseparable Kip & Maddie near Omaha, Nebraska! This sweet little duo is the very definition of two peas in a pod! They eat together, sleep together, and play together, always watch out for each other, and never ever let the other out of their sight! This loving little twosome is ready and eager to make one lucky family very happy!

Kip & Maddie found themselves in the unfortunate circumstance of landing in an animal shelter after their owner had a stroke, and was unable to return home to care for them. Luckily, one of our volunteers learned about their plight, notified NBGR, and rescued them from the shelter on our behalf.

We believe they are siblings who have spent their entire lives together. The vet estimates their age to be 7-9 years old, and feels they are both very healthy. Kip weighs 14.8 lbs. and Maddie 11.9 lbs. Both are at the perfect weight for their size.

Kip & Maddie will require a home with very secure 6 ft. privacy fencing, as Maddie is a very adept little escape artist. She was able to climb chain length fencing and escape the yard at her first foster home.

Kip & Maddie have been spayed & neutered, are up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative, on monthly heart worm preventative, and had recent dentals.

We never place dogs in homes reliant on electric or invisible fencing to contain pets. Fencing of this type may or may not keep a dog in the yard, however it does not protect pets from predators, free roaming dogs, or people who may enter the yard. Should there be a power outage, the fence would be rendered useless. If a pet were to panic and run through the barrier and take an electrical jolt from the fence, that pet would not be inclined to return home, and could be lost forever.

Kip & Maddie are being loving cared for a in a private foster home near Omaha, Nebraska..

If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Jan at nbgrtexas@yahoo.com.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
