  Meet Harry!
(#2636)

Harry is a super sweet guy who is a senior boy with bunches of physical issues. He is not such an old guy – just turning 12 this summer – but he has degenerative disc disease so he has trouble going up and down stairs and he can’t jump at all. His foster mom has made ramps for him so he can go outside without being carried down the steps and so he can get up on the bed which he loves! It took some super nice treats for him to learn to use his ramps but now he understands the ramps are a great advantage for him.

Harry loves his veggies and will eat carrots, lettuce, string beans and sometimes even houseplants although he knows he isn’t supposed to eat the houseplants!

Harry spends lots of time in his crate – open door. He feels totally safe there and the other dogs know it is his place and don’t come in cause they know it’s his special place and he has a special lovie doll in his crate.

Harry will never really be housebroken so his wonderful foster mom gives him lots of washable things he can pee on because he prefers doing his business in the house rather than outside. Harry has a hard time going for walks so his mom takes him out in a stroller when they go for walks.

Harry takes 4 different medications daily to keep him feeling well – his foster mom realized he doesn’t like the taste of his pills so she puts them in special tasteless capsules for him. He’s a good boy.

Harry is a long term foster in NBGR – and if you would like to be his virtual adopter you could contribute to his care with monthly or annual donations under Paws of Winter General fund or on a recurring basis under Paws of Winter Virtual Caregiver – Recurring. Either way please note your donation is for Harry 2636.

If you have questions about Harry please contact Vicki at vboneill@optonline.net.
