  Meet Gizmo and Max!
(#3089 and #3088)

Max & Gizmo are 3.5 year old littermates who entered rescue after their owners were no longer able to care for them.

Max (light tan coloring) is the calm, soulful one - he’s also the boss. Gizmo (darker tan/brown coloring) is the hyper, mischievous one who will win your heart instantly. They are both affectionate love bugs with the sweetest personalities. If you don’t enjoy giving belly rubs and receiving puppy kisses, then Max & Gizmo are not the dogs for you!

Gizmo & Max would be happy to spend all day curled up in your lap. Their chins are constantly searching for a resting spot on your knee, chest or in the crook of your arm – wherever they can snuggle in and gaze at you with loving puppy eyes. If they’re not curled up next to you, you’ll find them sleeping in front of the wood stove, playing with their toys, or romping around the house with each other.

Max & Gizmo would love to sleep in the big bed if there’s room. Max will curl up at your feet, but Gizmo will try to snag a spot near the head of the bed – ideally, he’d like to share your pillow with you! But if there’s no room in the big bed, Gizmo & Max are also happy to snuggle with each other in their crate.

Gizmo & Max combine the sweetness of a toy dog with the durability of a slightly larger dog: at roughly 20 lbs each they are healthy, athletic and energetic. They love to go for long walks and their foster parents think that they would be great hiking companions. Their recall is not very reliable when they are off-leash - especially if there is an interesting sound or smell - so a forever home with a fenced in yard where they can run around freely would be a plus.

Gizmo has shown some nervousness around small children, so we are looking for a forever home with older children or adults only. They are crate trained and working on some basic obedience commands. Gizmo & Max will need a regular walk schedule to keep them on track in terms of housebreaking.

Max & Gizmo would prefer to stay together, but will consider separate forever homes where they would have a calm K9 brother or sister – these guys love canine companionship and would strongly prefer not to be an “only dog”.

Gizmo & Max are neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, micro-chipped and on heartworm preventative.

Here are some really cute videos of these two!

Gizmo & Max are being fostered near Concord, NH.

If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Cristen at emmaresq@yahoo.com.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
