  Meet Gemma!

Gemma is a big personality in a really tiny package. Gemma is just barely 5 lbs. - but she is a bossy little girl who just wants to be your arm candy 24/7. Gemma just turned 7 years old at the end of June. She was owner surrendered by someone who never had any time for her so she was left alone all the time and she has now discovered how much in love with people she is! We had previously written that Gemma had terrible separation anxiety but she has settled down a lot in her foster home and is fine with being in an ex pen when you are out for an hour or two.

Gemma loves people. She is totally happy with pretty much everyone she meets. She has funny little twiggy legs and a tiny body so she will never be a long walk girl but she is so small you could easily take her everywhere with you.

She has had her teeth cleaned and is heart worm negative and takes preventative. She is microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Because Gemma spent all her time alone she learned to use pee pads so housebreaking is a work in process but she is learning to go outside little by little and she does well with using the pee pads.

Gemma is being fostered in Marion, Ohio, but she would be happy to travel with you in the cabin of an airplane in a sherpa bag.

If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Lyn at gingersnap@frontier.com.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
