Meet Doozie!

The name Doozie precisely captures the indomitable spirit of this amazing little 18 month old Griff boy! In fact, the name Doozie is actually slang for "extraordinary", which perfectly describes this fascinating little dog's personality!

If you yearn for a reason to laugh each and every day, Doozie will not let you down. Whether he's comically dancing on his hind legs happily greeting you, or he is rolliing and stretching his limber little body on the couch trying to find the most comfy position, or simply tilting his head to one side as you speak to him as though he's contemplating and understanding every word you say, he is sure to warm your heart and put a smile on your face.

Each day Doozie will steadfastly be at your side watching with interest as you move about the house involved even in the most mundane household activities. But when you are ready for something more lively, Doozie will excitedly be up to the challenge and ready to join in. If dogs are allowed at your place of business, you can depend on Doozie to be the perfect gentleman!

When it's time to sit back and relax after a long day, your new best buddy will quickly settle in beside you. At bedtime, Doozie's version of paradise is sharing your bed, snuggled up as close to you as possible, yet always politely allowing you to sleep peacefully through the night. You may even be lucky enough to experience waking in the morning to Doozie ever so gently patting your cheek with his paw, very discreetly letting you know it's time to go outside to begin a brand new day. What a sweetie!

Without a doubt, Doozie could very easily win the title of "Mr. Popularity" in a doggy personality contest! Do you have other dogs? Doozie will probably get along with them. He finds cats interesting, but for the most part ignores them. If children are in the house, he is very gentle, hoping they will play with him.

Doozie is almost completely house trained, crate trained and working on leash training, Doozie is neutered, microchipped, on heart-worm preventative, and up to date on all vaccinations.

What more can we say about this happy little love bug named Doozie? He is, without a doubt, the most perfect companion anyone could hope for, all wrapped up in a cute 16.5 lb. package! All Doozie needs to make his life complete is that special someone who will make a commitment to always love, pamper and never abandon him. In return, Doozie promises to be your most loving, faithful and trusted companion for many, many happy years to come!

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
