  Meet Chance!
(#2846)

Chance is a 20 pound red rough male. His age is listed as 4 years old on the papers we got with him but he could be younger. He came to us as a breeder surrender.

Chance is built like a tank, with large paws and, as you can see from his picture, is very handsome. He grunts when he is sniffing around and he does snore (just a little).

He has had no problems fitting into the pack. There have been no dominance issues, he is quite content to be a follower. He is very curious, especially when his foster mom is loading the dishwasher and he likes to be in the same room with you. He is rather sensitive but not needy. When you talk to him he will respond to his name. He usually will not come to you, but he will roll over in submission. A quick belly scratch lets him know that everything is OK and he will get up, twist around and be silly.

Chance has a lot of potential to love and bond with someone. He is not aloof, I believe he has never had the attention and affection lavished on him to know how wonderful it can be. He is a very good boy and with lots of love in a forever home, he would blossom.

Chance is neutered, current on all shots, heart worm negative. He takes heart worm preventative and he has been micro chipped.

Chance is being fostered near Wichita, KS.

If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki at vboneill@optonline.net.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
