  Meet Brutus!

Brutus is a lovely 18 month old boy. He weighs 15 pounds.

Brutus is super sweet and very good with children (in our experience over 5, but caution for littler ones because he is very energetic and does not know his strength.) He has been good with our other dogs, all seniors, except that he will get over rambunctious at times. He sleeps in our dog area behind a gate and is quiet all night.

Brutus loves his walks and covers a lot of territory because of his long legs. He loves attention and tries to get to the front of the line for each cuddle and scratch. He was surrendered to rescue because his former owner died. We believe they were Spanish speaking because Brutus won't sit for the English command but will for the Spanish version (sometimes). His manners need some practice but he is very smart so we expect he will be easily trained because he already listens well and obeys some commands. We are working very hard to help him become a gentleman. Knowing he is just a pup gives us reason to believe he will be just that with the right forever family.

Brutus is neutered, microchipped, heart worm negative and up-to-date on vaccines. He is taking heart worm preventative.

Brutus is being fostered in Lake Worth, FL.

If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki at vboneill@optonline.net.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
