  Meet Baby!

Baby came to NBGR along with several Griffs when there was a puppy mill raid in the San Antonio area. She and the others were rescued along with 100 other dogs. Kept in horrid conditions, she lived her life (3 years) in a wire cage.

Today Baby is living with a foster family and doing really well! She is 3 years old and weighs 13 pounds.

Baby is a typical Griff, she will either follow her foster mother everywhere or if she’s in the same room, she follows her every move with her eyes. She is affectionate, has a sweet disposition but is a bit uneasy around men (her puppy mill owner was a man) so we can understand that with her previous life. We are sure that in time she will learn that men can be just as loving as women.

Baby is pretty laid back and enjoys being near you but she’s not too keen on being held. We feel in time she will learn the joys of curling up on her humans lap.

As far as potty training, Baby is doing great. She is taken out regularly and on schedule to avoid accidents. This is quite a feat for her considering her previous house was a wire cage and her bed, bathroom and dining room were in the same place.

Baby sleeps quietly in her crate all night but our bet is she would love to snooze in the big bed. She loves to play and enjoys tempting her foster siblings to join in by zooming around the backyard! She enjoys laying in the warm sun and rolling in the grass, (something she never got to feel or do until she was rescued).

Baby is fine with kids older than 10 years old, but seems very nervous around children younger than that, so a home with older children is preferred.

Also, Baby enjoys walking on her leash now! Getting out and moving around has been a real blessing for this precious girl.

Do you have room in your heart and home for this little girl that deserves the best of everything? She spent the first 3 years of life in a wire cage and we want to make sure that no one ever puts Baby in the corner, so to speak, again.

Baby is spayed, current on vaccines, heart worm negative and on prevention.

Here is a cute video of Baby playing.

Here's another one of her enjoying the back yard.

Baby is being fostered in Georgetown, Texas.

If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Connie Lawrence at conniel@andell.com.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
