Amber was a stray dog found by a good samaritan who made every attempt to locate her owner. It's hard to understand how someone could not have been searching for this charming little girl. Amber weighs 11 lbs. and we think she is about 1 year old.
Amber is a mix for sure – maybe more shih-tzu than griffon. She is such a good girl. Her foster mom has been taking her out and about to test her socialization – and Amber has never met a stranger. She gets along really well with the other 5 dogs in her foster home. Amber loves to fetch and will play tug with another dog. When you meet her – if you don't give her a little attention she will talk to you to try to get you to respond.
Amber walks beautifully on a leash. She is housebroken and crate trained.
Amber will be spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped before she is placed in her new home. Amber is heart worm negative and is taking heart worm preventative.
Amber is being fostered in Norwalk, CT.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
